In the first half of September 2024, a total of 32 previously dormant bitcoin transactions have been observed, with 2,253.54 BTC spent so far. The biggest spenders are wallets from 2016, which have moved 1,549.51 BTC in nine separate transactions. While no bitcoin wallets from 2010 or 2011 have shown any activity, 48.99 BTC from 2012 wallets and 404.76 BTC from 2013 wallets have been moved. The most significant transaction came from a 2016 wallet, with 1,350.27 BTC transferred on September 4. Overall, the current pace suggests that September may surpass August in dormant bitcoin activity, but may not reach the levels seen in June and July. The fluctuations in these transactions reflect the uncertain behavior of long-term holders returning to the market when the price aligns with their expectations.
