The U.S. Department of Justice has shut down the PopeyeTools marketplace, a website known for selling stolen credit card data and fraud tools. Three individuals, Abdul Ghaffar, Abdul Sami, and Javed Mirza, have been charged with operating the site. PopeyeTools allegedly served over 227,000 victims and generated over $1.7 million in revenue. The DOJ seized multiple domains connected to the marketplace and recovered approximately $283,000 worth of crypto assets. The individuals face charges with a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison for each charge.
