Decentralized finance (DeFi) platform MANTRA has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). This license allows MANTRA to operate as a virtual asset exchange and provide broker-dealer and investment management services in the region. The platform aims to tokenize real-world assets (RWAs) and expand globally, with a focus on the Middle Eastern market. MANTRA's CEO described Dubai as a leader in crypto regulation and emphasized the importance of regulatory compliance to build trust with users. MANTRA plans to offer DeFi products that meet regional and international regulatory standards. The platform recently entered an agreement with DAMAC Group to bring at least $1 billion worth of assets to blockchain rails and partnered with Google for blockchain infrastructure and an accelerator program for RWAs.
