The Decentralized AI Society (DAIS) has announced that Hedera, NEAR Foundation, and Secret Network Foundation have joined the alliance, further strengthening the decentralized AI (DeAI) ecosystem. DAIS, which aims to combat the centralization of AI by Web2 giants, is focused on promoting ethical, transparent, and decentralized development and governance of AI. The new members bring essential contributions to the alliance, with Hedera's expertise in enterprise-focused distributed ledger technology, NEAR Foundation's strides in AI integration, and Secret Network's expertise in confidential computing. DAIS will also be collaborating with Bermuda's government to encourage financial innovation and develop policies that promote decentralized AI while safeguarding citizens. DAIS will host a "Decentralized AI Salon" at the World Economic Forum in Davos to explore the potential and challenges of decentralized AI. Overall, DAIS aims to promote decentralized AI research, engage with policymakers, bridge the gap between crypto and traditional institutions, and advocate for the benefits of decentralized AI over centralized models.
