The global count of crypto ATMs is approaching its previous high of 39,958, achieved in December 2022. After experiencing declines in 2023, the number of machines has been steadily increasing, with a total of 38,866 crypto ATMs in operation as of January 11, 2025. Bitcoin Depot is the largest operator, followed by Coinflip and Athena Bitcoin. The United States has the majority of these ATMs, accounting for 81.3% globally. Bitcoin is the most widely supported cryptocurrency, while litecoin, ethereum, and dogecoin are also popular. The growth of crypto ATMs demonstrates the demand for decentralized financial tools and the integration of digital currencies with physical access points.
