Coinbase is experiencing challenges due to the high influx of demand from Solana traders. The exchange is receiving more Solana send and receive requests than ever before, causing delays in showing transactions on users' accounts. The issue lies in data indexing, as the vast amount of data produced by Solana makes it demanding and costly to process. Dusting attacks, where tiny amounts of crypto are sent to multiple wallet addresses, have become constant on Coinbase, further adding to the strain on data load. Moreover, Solana's lack of a uniform interface for smart contracts makes indexing difficult, as the data is not human-readable. Solana is working on solutions to address these read layer issues, but until then, exchanges will continue to face challenges in indexing the blockchain.
