Several U.S. states are adopting more crypto-friendly policies, including California. California State Representative Phillip Chen, a Republican, is partnering with non-profit Proof of Workforce to create pro-Bitcoin legislation. The collaboration will focus on educational efforts, community outreach, and exploring how Bitcoin can contribute to infrastructure and communities in California. This is not the first time Proof of Workforce has introduced Bitcoin to California governments, as they previously established an official Bitcoin office in Santa Monica. These efforts are helping Bitcoin gain popularity and may encourage more state agencies to use Bitcoin in the future. The upcoming inauguration of President Trump is also anticipated to have a positive impact on the crypto market, as he has expressed support for cryptocurrency and may establish a government reserve of Bitcoin. Trump is reportedly preparing an executive order that will prioritize cryptocurrency and involve industry experts in his administration. The order is expected to declare crypto a national priority and establish a crypto advisory council.
