Republican Phillip Chen, an office of California Assemblymember, has appointed Proof of Workforce, a non-profit organization focused on Bitcoin adoption, to assist with Bitcoin-related initiatives and draft an official bill for an upcoming legislative session. Proof of Workforce will advise Chen's policy team, work on education and community engagement, and research how Bitcoin can support and rebuild California's infrastructure and communities. This is not the first time Proof of Workforce has assisted governments in California with Bitcoin adoption, as they previously partnered with the City of Santa Monica to open an official Bitcoin office. The adoption of Bitcoin within California's government is expected to continue in the coming years, especially with the United States embracing Bitcoin. Proof of Workforce is making a significant impact by helping organizations buy and hold their own Bitcoin keys and educating them on Bitcoin's network.
