BlackRock, the investment company that recently launched the first spot Bitcoin (BTC) exchange-traded fund (ETF), has been increasing its holdings of Bitcoin. BlackRock's total Bitcoin holdings now amount to 359,278 BTC, worth around $22.9 billion. Inflows over the past day reached $99 million, the highest in a month. This puts BlackRock ahead of other spot Bitcoin ETF managers such as Grayscale, Fidelity, and ARK Invest. BlackRock views Bitcoin as an emerging global monetary alternative with properties that make it a risk-off asset. However, the company's Bitcoin buying activities do not guarantee price increases or returns.
