Asset management company BlackRock has become a major Bitcoin holder, acquiring a total of 572,616 BTC since the launch of its iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF. Unlike many of its peers, BlackRock did not sell during the recent cryptocurrency selloff and has actually bought an additional 11,000 BTC in the last week. This brings the total value of BlackRock's Bitcoin holdings to $62.25 billion. The buying activity is in line with the performance of its ETF, which remains up 9.47% year-to-date and has gained 84.70% since its launch in January 2024. BlackRock is unique in its continuous buying spree as most of its peers have been selling during the dip.
