Bitcoin mining firm Bitdeer experienced a significant decline in self-mined Bitcoin production in September, reporting a 66% drop compared to the previous year. The company mined just 164 BTC in September 2024, compared to 482 BTC in September 2023. Despite this decline, Bitdeer is making progress in its mining rig manufacturing and research and development efforts. It is set to add 3.4 EH/s to its proprietary hashrate with the mass production of its SEALMINER A1 machines in Q4. The company's total hash rate decreased to 17.1 EH/s, but its hosting segment showed signs of recovery. Bitdeer is also working on its SEAL02 chip, which recently completed its first production phase and is designed to meet changing market needs. The firm plans to expand its operational infrastructure in Texas, Norway, and Bhutan, with various projects underway. Additionally, Bitdeer aims to introduce its second-generation chip and mass produce SEALMINER A2 mining machines in 2024.
