Bitdeer Technologies Group has successfully tested its latest Bitcoin mining chip, SEAL02, achieving a power efficiency ratio of 13.5 joules per terahash (J/TH). This marks a significant milestone for the company's SEALMINER technology roadmap. The chip was developed in partnership with semiconductor manufacturer TSMC and demonstrated its effectiveness during prototype testing in power-saving mode. Bitdeer's stock is up over 8%, and mass production of SEAL02 chips is expected to begin in November 2024. The company is also working on its next chip, SEAL03. The efficient chip will save costs for miners and reduce energy consumption in Bitcoin mining.
