The company identified two bitcoin mining firms among its top 10 industrial electricity consumers, with a third digital currency operation also sourcing energy from the facility. The utility provider praised the miners' consistent revenue streams and minimal infrastructure demands, stating that they offer fiscal stability without logistical strain. The revenue generated from bitcoin miners has helped Paducah Power mitigate costs for its customers. The company expects that bitcoin mining activity will continue to expand in 2025.
