Bitcoin mining firm NewRays has filed a lawsuit against a judge and prosecutor, alleging selective enforcement of noise legislation. NewRays claims that while other companies generate more noise, laws were specifically created to target their mining operations in Arkansas. Neighbors had complained about the noise generated by NewRays' mining activities, leading to attempts to sell adjacent land and a decrease in property value. The complaint also highlights similar challenges faced by crypto miner Marathon Digital in Texas. The lawsuit suggests that selective enforcement against the crypto industry due to its reputation is not uncommon.
