The dismissal occurred amidst a 60% decline in the value of the ATOM altcoin this year. Atom Accelerator DAO, which supports the Cosmos ecosystem, has distributed millions of dollars in grants to promote the Cosmos Hub blockchain and the ATOM token. However, these efforts have not yielded the desired results, leading to the removal of Amrani as CEO. The dismissal has created a leadership crisis, with co-founder Ryan Orr refusing to take over and suggesting that the organization either dissolves or finds a new leader. Legal problems have also arisen, with the organization receiving a demand letter alleging unfair dismissal and seeking compensation. The Atom Accelerator DAO plans to conduct a review of grants awarded during Amrani's tenure to investigate possible favoritism or nepotism. The confusion arises after Cosmos Hub's validators allocated additional ATOM tokens to fund the cooperative's initiatives, which raised questions about the organization's future.
