Thomas Peterffy, the founder of Interactive Brokers, advised that people should hold "some Bitcoin" but not too much. He recommended investing 2% to 3% of one's net worth in Bitcoin, but warned against allocating more than 10% to the cryptocurrency. Peterffy was initially critical of Bitcoin, but later revealed that he personally held a small amount of cryptocurrency. He expressed surprise at Bitcoin's resilience in the face of the FTX crypto empire's collapse. Interactive Brokers, America's largest electronic trading platform, launched cryptocurrency trading in 2021.
