Blockchain platform Avalanche has introduced Retro9000, a $40 million retroactive grant program as part of its Avalanche9000 upgrade. Retro9000 is designed to provide incentives to developers looking to build on the Avalanche9000 testnet. The program is funded by the Avalanche Foundation and rewards will be determined through a public leaderboard and community votes. Avalanche9000 aims to enable faster and more affordable project launches, and includes upgrades such as the Etna Upgrade and enhanced developer incentives. Following the announcement, AVAX, the platform's token, saw a 7% increase in price.
