The report suggests that several factors, including the lack of a historical dip in Bitcoin dominance after the 2024 halving and the underperformance of Ethereum compared to its competitors, have contributed to the delay. The growing popularity of Bitcoin spot exchange-traded funds and institutional adoption has also complicated the crypto landscape. However, the report notes that there is still potential for a surge in altcoins, especially if Bitcoin and Ethereum reach new highs and if institutional investors show more interest in altcoins.
