Description

What Is ZAP Crypto Currency? ZAP (ZAP) is a decentralized cryptocurrency, built on a public blockchain based on Ethereum and Bitcoin, which aims to become the world’s leading platform for asset-backed digital tokens and their related technologies. It is the native currency of the ZAP Protocol, an open-source platform for distributed powers of attorney and asset-backed tokens on Ethereum. Who Founded It? ZAP was founded by a team of blockchain and security professionals, developers and entrepreneurs who believe in the transformative potential of blockchain technology to revolutionize the way people interact with each other and with digital assets. Its founders are Alex Sandler, Igor Telyatnikov, Oleg Lopatin, and Yury Antonov. What Makes It Unique? ZAP is unique in that it is the first decentralized cryptocurrency to use ERC20 (Ethereum Request for Comments) tokens to back its asset-backed digital tokens. These tokens are used to represent the ownership of the underlying assets—such as stocks, bonds, real estate, and commodities—and their associated fiat value. This allows users to transact in the underlying asset while retaining the benefits of decentralized, transparent ownership of the tokens. In addition, ZAP has developed an advanced smart contracts platform and ZAP-SDK (Software Development Kit), which enables developers to interact with the ZAP Protocol and build decentralized applications on top of it. This platform is intended to foster the next wave of applications, services and products in the blockchain space. Where Is It Used? ZAP is currently in use as a currency for trading, investing and storing digital assets, and is also used for decentralized applications and services built on the ZAP Protocol. In addition, the ZAP Protocol powers the issuance and trading of asset-backed tokens issued on the Ethereum blockchain, allowing users to tokenize ownership rights to traditional assets. These tokens are then traded on exchanges and other platforms powered by the ZAP Protocol, making them available to a wide range of investors and users. Where to Buy/Sell It? ZAP is currently available to purchase and sell on various cryptocurrency exchanges, such as Bittrex, Kraken, UpBit and Poloniex. In addition, ZAP is also available to purchase with fiat currency on various fiat-to-crypto exchanges, such as Coinbase and Binance. Comments Zap seems like an intriguing project, with a lot of potential for the future applications of its protocols. It's team seems to have a strong technical background and have made some impressive advances in their technology. The idea of tokenizing traditional assets makes sense and could be a great way to open up access to investments for more people. I'm interested to see how this project pans out in the future and the applications it will have for the crypto space.
