Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan believes that despite its struggles in 2024, Ethereum remains a promising investment for 2025. He argues that Ethereum's dominance in various blockchain use cases, from DeFi to stablecoins to tokenization, is a strong indication of its potential. Additionally, Ethereum's appeal to traditional finance institutions further supports its prospects. Although Ethereum has not had a strong start to 2025, with its price currently below its opening price, researchers like Bitwise predict that Ethereum could nearly double in price this year, with a projected value of $7,000.
