Oklahoma State Senator Dusty Deever has introduced the Bitcoin Freedom Act (SB325), a bill that aims to allow citizens to use Bitcoin as a form of payment and receive wages in the cryptocurrency. The bill emphasizes that participation in Bitcoin payment options will be voluntary for businesses and workers. Oklahoma is positioning itself as a leader in financial technology and hopes to benefit its citizens through the integration of cryptocurrencies. Other US cities and states, such as Detroit and Louisiana, have also started accepting cryptocurrencies for public services. This trend indicates a growing interest among US states in adopting Bitcoin as part of the future economy.
