What is ‘Flappy Bird’ on Telegram? Iconic Game Returns With Crypto Twist

The iconic mobile game Flappy Bird, which gained immense popularity in 2014 before being removed from app stores, has made a comeback as a crypto game on Telegram. The new iteration of the game, developed by the Flappy Bird Foundation, incorporates elements from other crypto games on the app and allows players to earn in-game points by watching ads and inviting friends. While a Flappy Bird token has not been confirmed, there are hints of its potential integration with The Open Network. The game has partnered with Notcoin, a tap-to-earn game, to introduce the TON ecosystem and plans to hold a "free mining event" called "Flap-a-TON." Although Flappy Bird's creator, Dong Nguyen, expressed his disapproval of the game's return and denied any involvement, the Flappy Bird Foundation acquired the trademark rights. The game is set to launch on other platforms in 2025.
