Leading American crypto exchange Kraken has applauded the patience of XRP holders in light of recent XRP ETF developments. Kraken's post on social media celebrated long-term XRP investors who have been waiting for 7-8 years, suggesting that they may finally be nearing the launch of an ETF. The announcement by Grayscale Investments to convert its XRP Trust into an ETF, along with speculation of prompt approval from the new crypto-friendly SEC leadership, has sparked optimism in the XRP community. Furthermore, discussions about the potential launch of XRP futures contracts on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) have added to the speculation. It should be noted that CME clarified that the information displayed on their website was unintentional and that no official decision had been made. The momentum for XRP ETFs has been building since Q4 2024, with Bitwise, 21Shares, and WisdomTree filing applications for their respective XRP ETFs. Additionally, the ongoing lawsuit between Ripple Labs and the SEC, which no longer contests XRP's status as a security, may be approaching a settlement, removing legal uncertainties surrounding XRP.
