HIVE Digital Technologies, a publicly listed Bitcoin miner, announced its January production results and expansion into Paraguay. Despite industry slowdown, HIVE maintained production levels from late 2024, mining 102 Bitcoin with an average hashrate of 5.7 EH/s. Its Bitcoin holdings reached 2,657 BTC, a 34% increase YoY. HIVE also plans to acquire Bitfarms' hydro-powered Bitcoin mining facility in Paraguay, projecting a 317% increase in its global hashrate by September 2025. Additionally, the company appointed Lieutenant General (Ret.) John R. Evans Jr. to its Global Strategy Advisory Committee.
