Another Italian official, Consob Commissioner Federico Cornelli, has expressed skepticism towards Bitcoin and urged caution. He stated that cryptocurrencies have no underlying value and are highly speculative. Despite this skepticism, Bitcoin continues to reach all-time highs and attract global media attention. Cornelli also warned savers in Italy to be cautious with Bitcoin and other speculative products. He emphasized that if any issues arise with these instruments, investors should not expect reimbursement from authorities or governments. The skepticism towards Bitcoin in Italy extends beyond Consob and is prevalent among the country's leaders. However, data objectively show Bitcoin as one of the best asset classes in terms of performance. The Italian entertainment figures, Fiorello and Eleazaro Rossi, have also expressed their skepticism towards Bitcoin, but their views have proven to be inaccurate as the cryptocurrency's value has significantly increased. Despite the skepticism, overseas investors see Bitcoin as an opportunity not to be missed.
