Intelligent Alpha is a firm that relies on artificial intelligence (AI) to make investment decisions. The firm uses three AI models, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, to build portfolios and has seen success in its investment picks, including making profitable short calls on stocks like Boeing. While the firm has primarily focused on traditional finance, it has recently started experimenting with bitcoin. Intelligent Alpha uses a simple process where the AI models analyze data about companies and apply the investment philosophies of famous investors to create portfolios. The AI models explain their reasoning to the firm's founder and CEO, Doug Clinton, and the portfolios are only adjusted to remove any errors. Intelligent Alpha has launched an exchange-traded fund called the Intelligent Livermore ETF, which uses AI to build a global equity portfolio. The AI models review world events and make predictions for the next three to six months to identify investment opportunities. While Intelligent Alpha has not focused heavily on crypto due to a lack of data, Clinton has expressed interest in using AI to identify breakout crypto projects in the future.
