South Korea’s Upbit Refunds 8.5 Billion Won After Crypto Hack

South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has paid out 8.5 billion won ($6.07 million) to 380 victims of voice phishing scams. The exchange, operated by Dunamu, used a Fraud Detection System (FDS) and collaborated with the police to prevent fraudulent transactions and recover stolen funds. This effort highlights Upbit's dedication to safeguarding user assets in the face of increasing crypto scams.
