The Bitcoin Mailing List and its history is erased from Linux

The migration of the Bitcoin Mailing List, a forum for communication between Bitcoin developers, has been completed. The archives from the Linux Foundation, which hosted the list, have been purged and are no longer accessible. The list will now be hosted on Google Groups due to the Linux Foundation's decision to stop hosting email lists in 2023. Bitcoin developer Bryan Bishop has uploaded historical records from various record-keeping systems to the Google Group. The transition to Google Groups has prompted developers to reflect on the evolution of Bitcoin development communication, which has shifted from email to various other channels such as social media and private servers. Despite these changes, developers will continue to write code and debate contributions to Bitcoin's protocol.
