Ripple CTO Reveals Company's Media Strategy on XRP

Ripple's CTO David Schwartz has discussed the company's media strategy during its lengthy legal battle with the SEC. While Ripple won a partial victory, with XRP deemed not a security, the company was fined for selling coins to institutional clients. Schwartz noted the challenges of countering false information about XRP during the lawsuit, as legal and strategic limitations prevented direct challenges. Instead, Ripple relied on its community, the "XRP Army," to spread the correct message, which resulted in some misinformation and speculation. Schwartz admitted that avoiding amplification of misinformation may have had the opposite effect, but Ripple aimed to differentiate between helpful contributions and baseless claims.
