The official Litecoin X social media account was hacked and used to promote a fraudulent Litecoin token on the Solana network. The hacker posted a now-deleted message with a contract address and a link to the scam token. The Litecoin team resolved the issue and attributed it to a compromised delegated account. This incident is part of a trend of high-profile X account hacks promoting fake tokens and phishing schemes. Other notable cases include attacks on Truth Terminal's X account, EigenLayer's X account, rapper Wiz Khalifa's account, Cardano Foundation's X account, and Animoca Brands co-founder Yat Siu's X account. These scams underscore the need for enhanced cybersecurity measures in the crypto industry.
