CandleFocus Ripple CEO Claps Back at Former SEC Official

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has responded to recent comments made by former SEC official John Reed Stark, calling them "provably false." Stark criticized cryptocurrencies on a "60 Minutes" episode, referring to them as a "scourge" and claiming that crypto tokens are securities. Garlinghouse accused Stark of being a "shill" for SEC Chair Gary Gensler and clarified that he has never spoken with Gensler. Stark predicted that pro-crypto libertarian Paul Atkins could become the greatest SEC Chair in history. Garlinghouse argued that Gensler's anti-crypto statements resemble those of the SEC boss and criticized the SEC for failing to protect investors. Additionally, Garlinghouse claimed that "60 Minutes" omitted parts of his interview where he discussed XRP not being a security.
