CandleFocus Altcoins in Retreat as Bitcoin (BTC) Falls Further Away From $100K (Market Watch)

Bitcoin reached a high of $101,000 but faced rejection and dropped by a few thousand dollars. Altcoins, including XRP and DOGE, are also experiencing losses. Despite recent gains, bitcoin's market dominance has increased to 52.1%. Several altcoins saw significant gains over the weekend but are now in retreat, with XRP being one of the worst performers, losing over 6% of its value. Other altcoins such as DOT, CRO, VET, FIL, and FET also experienced declines. Ethereum, Avalanche, SOL, and BNB have also seen decreases. The overall market capitalization of cryptocurrencies has dropped by around $100 billion since yesterday.
