Crypto exchange BITPoint Japan has become the first in the country to list the memecoin "PEPE." PEPE, a popular meme-based crypto, will be available for spot trading, lending, and savings. Ranked 24th on Coinmarketcap with a market capitalization of $4 billion, PEPE is currently trading at $0.059521, up 0.44%. BITPoint Japan is also offering special promotions for users trading PEPE, including a chance to win additional PEPE through a lottery. PEPE is one of the most popular memecoins and uses a deflationary mechanism called "burning" to adjust token supply and demand. Many memecoins, including PEPE, are seen as cultural phenomena and viral trends with limited real-world use-cases.
