CandleFocus Mech Shooter 'MetalCore' Ditches Ethereum and Immutable for Solana

Game developer Studio 369 has announced that its mech shooter game MetalCore will migrate from Ethereum layer-2 gaming network Immutable zkEVM to Solana. The move is scheduled to occur in November alongside the start of the game's second season. Studio 369 cited Solana's ability to process a large number of transactions and its growing ecosystem as the main reasons for the migration. MetalCore was initially set to launch on Immutable zkEVM, but the network's mainnet delay prompted Studio 369 to scale down its team. The game has already launched in open beta and will utilize Solana Labs' GameShift platform to reduce friction for users engaging with the game's economy. Players will need to migrate their NFTs and tokens from Immutable zkEVM to Solana once the migration takes place.
