Government Lawyers Defend Nishad Singh Saying He Provided ‘Substantial Assistance’ in FTX Investigation

Former FTX executive Nishad Singh, who pled guilty to six criminal charges related to the collapse of FTX, provided substantial assistance and cooperation to government prosecutors in their investigations into FTX, according to a document submitted by prosecutors. Singh helped the government understand how FTX's code permitted illegal use of customers' funds and provided detailed information about transactions involving stolen money by Sam Bankman-Fried. Singh also informed the government about criminal conduct, including a campaign finance scheme and financial manipulation by Bankman-Fried. Singh's lawyers have requested that he be spared prison time. Singh and FTX's former CTO Gary Wang are both awaiting sentencing, while Bankman-Fried and others have already been sentenced.
