Grayscale recently relaunched its XRP Trust, three years after its initial trust was liquidated due to the SEC-Ripple lawsuit. The trust has performed well since its relaunch, attracting attention from the XRP community. Coach JV clarified that when investing in a trust, investors do not directly acquire the underlying asset (XRP), but gain exposure to its performance. The NAV per XRP for the Grayscale XRP Trust is approximately $0.59, making it roughly the same cost as buying XRP directly. However, purchasing XRP through the trust offers the advantage of Grayscale handling custody, although a 2.5% management fee is charged. The trust has seen significant growth in assets under management, indicating increasing institutional interest in XRP.
