CandleFocus Experts Predict More Altcoins Could Be Added to US Crypto Reserve

President Donald Trump's announcement of a national crypto reserve has led to investor focus on altcoins made in the USA. The current US crypto reserve includes Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Cardano, but experts predict the addition of Chainlink, Ondo, and Litecoin. Chainlink is seen as a strong candidate due to its inclusion in the Coinbase 50 Index and its association with World Liberty Finance, which is operated by Trump's family. Ondo is also considered likely, as World Liberty Financial holds Ondo tokens and Trump Jr. has spoken at Ondo events. Ondo CEO Nathan Allman confirmed Ondo's status as a US-based blockchain company pioneering the tokenization of US Treasuries. Litecoin is also highlighted as a potential addition to the reserve. Following Trump's announcement, the market capitalization of US-originated coins surged by 12% to nearly $500 billion, with trading volume increasing by 300% in the past 24 hours. However, there is controversy surrounding the inclusion of altcoins, with some arguing that only Bitcoin is suitable for national reserves.
