Do Kwon escapes extradition limbo — enters US trial limbo

Do Kwon, the key figure in the $40 billion collapse of Terra/Luna, has been extradited from Montenegro to the US and has pleaded not guilty to nine federal fraud charges. An "initial conference" is scheduled for January 8 to discuss settlement possibilities, but a lengthy discovery process is expected, similar to Sam Bankman Fried's case. Kwon's lawyers are claiming that his removal to the US breached European extradition laws. The extradition ruling in Montenegro came after a year of legal battles, and Prime Minister Milojko Spajić hopes it will end "pre-election manipulations."
