The Bitwise Asset Management January 2025 Bitcoin Macro Investor Report highlights the challenges facing the cryptocurrency market but asserts that Bitcoin's strong on-chain data positions it well to outperform traditional assets in the long term. Although Bitcoin faced obstacles in December 2024, such as profit-taking and declining corporate exposure, its fundamentals remain robust, with increasing institutional interest and retail demand creating a supply gap. The report predicts that factors like the Bitcoin halving and increasing adoption as a strategic reserve asset will lead to significant price increases, with Bitcoin potentially reaching $200,000 by the end of 2025 and $1 million by 2029. Bitwise sees the current sell-off as a buying opportunity for investors.
