Crypto Scam Epidemic: US Founders Responsible for Nearly Half of All Scam Projects

A recent study has found that the United States has the highest number of scam and failed crypto projects. In terms of scams, US founders account for 43.4% of all identified scam crypto projects, well above the combined share of the next four countries. The US also leads in failed crypto projects, with 33.36% of all dead projects. China ranks second in both categories, followed by the UK. The study notes that the US's high proportion of scams is due to the large number of innovative projects started by American founders. The report emphasizes the need for standardized regulations to address these issues and foster a more stable crypto ecosystem. The study also highlights challenges faced by Vietnam, which has seen 12% of its crypto projects classified as scams and ranks among the global top ten in both scam and failed projects.
