Crypto Liquidations Top $450 Million as Bitcoin Price Eyes $100,000

The price of Bitcoin has surged towards $100,000, leading to a significant liquidation of the broader crypto market. According to CoinGlass data, the combined liquidation in the crypto market has reached $452 million in 24 hours, with 160,022 traders affected. Bitcoin reached an all-time high of $97,862.63 but has since dropped to $96,987.24, still maintaining a growth of 3.99%. Short traders have suffered larger liquidations, losing $91.85 million compared to $26.11 million for long traders. Ethereum has also experienced liquidation, losing $66.31 million. Despite these gains, Ethereum remains down 35.73% from its all-time high. Analysts predict further growth for Bitcoin, potentially surpassing $100,000 in the short term, which poses a risk for short traders.
