Prominent investment company Avenir has significantly increased its holdings in Bitcoin-related assets, as reported in its latest 13F filing. The firm now owns $599 million worth of shares in BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), a substantial increase from its previous holdings. Avenir also disclosed a position in the Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund. This increase in Bitcoin ETF exposure aligns with the rapid growth of IBIT, which has reached $56 billion in net assets under management, setting a new record in the exchange-traded fund industry. Avenir's increased holdings reflect the growing institutional interest in regulated cryptocurrency investment vehicles. The company's digital asset division, Avenir CRYPTO, has been actively involved in industry events and initiatives, such as organizing the Future Boundless event and launching the Crypto Partnership Program to support quantitative trading teams and enhance financial innovation.
