Yougov Poll Reveals Nearly 15% Would Switch Their Bank Accounts for Crypto in Brazil

A recent survey conducted by Yougov in Brazil has revealed that nearly 15% of Brazilians would consider using cryptocurrencies as a replacement for traditional bank accounts. The poll showed that 5.7% would definitely make this switch, while 9% were open to the idea. This should serve as a wake-up call for banks, according to Yougov's managing director for Latin America, as this trend could significantly impact their revenue. However, there is still a widespread distrust of cryptocurrencies in Brazil, with 40.4% of respondents stating that they are not trustworthy. Brazilian authorities have taken steps to protect crypto investors and crack down on illicit cryptocurrency activities.
