She connects Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin's remarks from 2019 about crypto regulations and fostering innovation with Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse's advocacy for a "level playing field" in financial innovation. Jones believes that XRP's distributed ledger technology has been central to achieving this goal for years. Speculation is growing about crypto-friendly regulations under the Trump administration that could favor XRP, especially with Ripple executives meeting with Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Moreover, Jones finds it amusing that people still believe Trump is unaware of crypto, given the spotlight on Ripple's leadership and their advocacy for regulatory clarity.
