A bitcoin whale has moved 2,000 BTC, worth $178 million, to Coinbase after holding them since 2010. The transfer follows a trend of dormant bitcoin wallets becoming active due to the recent market-wide price surge. Bitcoin is currently trading at $88,532 after reaching a record high of $93,214. This is not the first time older wallets have become active as bitcoin hit new highs, and there is speculation on whether the coins will be sold. Some analysts estimate that between 3-4 million BTC has been lost forever, limiting the potential cashing out of these older wallets.
