Ondo introduces 24/7 conversions between PayPal USD and OUSG

Ondo Finance has announced the introduction of instant conversions between its tokenized short-term U.S. treasuries fund, Ondo Short-Term U.S. Government Treasuries (OUSG), and PayPal USD (PYUSD) stablecoin. This integration allows investors to easily convert in and out of OUSG using PYUSD, providing increased liquidity and utility for both assets. This development comes shortly after PayPal announced the ability to move PYUSD across Ethereum and Solana networks. Ondo's instant conversions aim to capitalize on the growing interest in tokenized real-world assets, such as cash equivalents and U.S. treasuries, as they offer low risk and high yield opportunities for qualified investors. The tokenized U.S. treasuries market has experienced significant growth, reaching over $2.3 billion from just over $100 million at the beginning of 2023. This expansion in the market is driven by issuers like BlackRock and Franklin Templeton expanding their core products to multiple blockchain networks.
