Morocco advances digitalization; Thai firm trials blockchain

Morocco is investing over $1 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies as part of its Digital Morocco 2030 strategy. The country aims to boost its digital infrastructure, create employment, and become Africa's leading tech hub. The strategy includes training 100,000 young people annually in the digital field, employing 240,000 people in the national digital sector, and integrating blockchain into public services such as the Unified Administrative Services Portal. Meanwhile, Bunge Global and Bangkok Produce Merchandising have partnered to trial blockchain technology for tracing soybeans from South America to Asia. The trial aims to promote sustainability by ensuring that soybeans are ethically and sustainably grown, offering end-consumer confidence.
