Litecoin, a well-established cryptocurrency, has rebranded itself as a meme coin in an attempt to capitalize on the growing popularity of meme coins like Dogwifhat and Pepe Coin. The move was met with a positive market response, resulting in a 21% increase in LTC's price. In addition to the rebranding, Litecoin issued a call for unity within the blockchain community to address regulatory challenges. The tweet humorously called upon other cryptocurrencies to join forces and drafted a "memetoo" manifesto, while also acknowledging the serious undertone of pushing back against regulatory overreach from entities like the SEC and Senator Elizabeth Warren.
