Ethereum Co-Founder Vitalik Buterin Unveils Future Plans for ETH in Global Blockchain Summit

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin spoke at the 10th Global Blockchain Summit in Shanghai, China and unveiled his vision for the future of Ethereum. He emphasized the goal of exceeding 100,000 transactions per second (TPS) using Layer 2 (L2) technology and reducing cross-chain transaction times to 2 seconds. Buterin reflected on Ethereum's growth since its launch in 2015 and highlighted the platform's transition from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) in 2022. He also discussed the progress made in reducing transaction costs and improving confirmation speeds with L2 solutions. Buterin outlined Ethereum's plans for cross-chain interoperability, improving user interfaces, and prioritizing cross-chain security as the platform expands and integrates with other blockchains. The overall vision for Ethereum is to achieve massive scalability, improve cross-chain transfers, enhance user experiences, and ensure cross-chain security, solidifying its position as a dominant player in the blockchain space.
