Crypto casino 1xBet accused of rigging matches, streaming children’s games

Sports betting platform 1xBet has been exposed by investigative news outlet Bellingcat for hosting illegal, manipulated games in countries where it is banned. The investigation, conducted in collaboration with football sleuths Josimar, revealed that the platform streams amateur sports games from Russia, Belarus, and Ukraine, despite being prohibited from operating in these countries. Players participating in these games were allegedly instructed to adhere to a goal limit, suggesting match manipulation. Bellingcat also discovered instances of underage girls' floorball matches being streamed on 1xBet's platform and made available for betting without the knowledge of players or their guardians. The objective of these illicit games is to attract bettors to the platform's casino games, which have higher profit margins. 1xBet is one of the largest gambling platforms globally and is known to operate without licenses in various jurisdictions.
